Jethro Tull -Merryweather Pavillion, 21-06-1988

I'll be in London for a while, so I am suplying you with one more gem. I didn't posted much lately, I am really pissed at a courier company that took my iMac... I wanted to sell it to get a new one and I used these bastards to transport it. Guess what? The "buyer" took my iMac without giving them the money, ergo I didn't get the money. Can you fucking believe it? Well, I will see them in a court of law. So I'm posting from my MBP now.
Back to the real thing:
Here's a good Jethro Tull bootleg, quite unique if you're asking me. Then again Tull is a unique band.

Steven Stills and Neil Young - Providence RI, 07-07-1976

This is the Stills-Young Band, recorded live at Providence Civic Center Providence, RI 07 July 1976. The show was taped by taped by Dan Lampinski
Dan Lampinski recorded over 100 concerts in the Providence/Boston area, mostly between 1974 and 1978. His earliest recordings were made with an internal microphone deck, and though they are somewhat lo-fi compared to his later work, some very great moments in rock history were captured for posterity. In late 1974 he bought a Sony TC-152SD tape recorder, a Sony ECM-99 stereo microphone, and began using Maxell cassettes. He was also fortunate enough to have a friend who provided excellent taping seats for many shows, resulting in high quality recordings. In 1977, he switched over to a Nakamichi 550 tape recorder, two Nakamichi CM-300 microphones, and continued using Maxell cassettes.
He recorded many of the major 70's bands: Yes, Genesis, Pink Floyd, Queen, Blue Oyster Cult, Frank Zappa, Jethro Tull, ELP, Kiss, Black Sabbath, The Who, Al Stewart, Alice Cooper, Jeff Beck, Bruce Springsteen, Supertramp, Jean-Luc Ponty, Moody Blues, Neil Young, The Faces, Rush, Rick Wakeman, Kansas, as well as several "under the radar" acts.
Since Dan never traded copies of his recordings, they are all essentially uncirculated. Some copies were made for friends, but these releases are the first time most of these recordings have ever seen the light of day, and are direct from his master cassettes. No EQ'ing has been done to any of the transfers. Feel free to EQ, matrix, patch, etc and re-post if you like, just give Dan credit for the original recording.
Dan was very meticulous about taking good care of his tapes and is very pleased that these recordings will now circulate among the trading community. Please honour his kindness and generosity by sharing these recordings freely.

Always remember - the more generous you are with your music, the more it comes back to you.

Renaissance- Academy of Music NY, 05-17-1974

I'm currently jumping from one side to another, from Canned Heat to Renaissance... but I am only happy to share with you a great concert and a crisp FM recording of this legendary band...
"There were actually two groups named Renaissance. The first group included Keith and Jane Relf (vocals) and came from the Yardbirds' ashes. The second and better known incarnation produced some of the best music that I have ever heard. Annie Haslam's five octave range fit perfectly with the classical/orchestral rock (lot of piano playing & full symphony orchestra backup) created by the other members. " {src. unknown}

Donovan - TV Appearances And Other Rarities

It's a fine saturday afternoon and for some reason Sunny Goodge Street pops in my mind. So... dear friends, let me introduce to you a fairly rare Donovan bootleg, a collection of TV, movie appearances, etc from 1965 to 1973. Sound quality varies aas there are different sources, but it's more than enjoyable to say the least. Trust me on this, I drove all day yesterday listening to this stuff! And the simple fact that we get to listen to Donovan is a reason enough to give it your attention. As far as I am concerned, I think it will be a permanent resident on my iPod.

Sadhu Sadhu - Live at the Hideout

Here's a heavy psych trio from Chicago called Sadhu Sadhu. It's a live show that they have released as a Cassette and CDR and they also gave it to me for everybody to enjoy. They are compared to bands like: Acid Mothers, Les Rallizes Dénudés, Can, Loop, Cream and in my oppinion they sound cool. I suggest grab it and give it a listen, the force is strong with them :) Original cover art included in the archive.

I don't have the track titles...

Improving usability to Grateful Breeed

Hello, everybody.
I have seen some sweet usability features to other blogs and thought you all deserve a better and more user friendly interface, so I made somemodifications:

1. I placed a linkedWithin widget at the end of each post, so you can preview 3 more or less related posts that may or may not be of any interest to you.
2. I added an audio sample preview to check out if the recording quality suits your fancy. Basically you can download one of the songs (marked Download Audio Sample) instead of the full archive. If you are happy with the quality, you get the whole archive, the usual way.
Please let me know what you think and leave your suggestions in the comments. Thanks in advance.
